More pictures, more fun times...

The last week has flown by, and we're still having a WONDERFUL time with the Paine's in Hong Kong. I've officially picked up knitting since we've been here, Chris is enjoying the fast internet speeds, and we've gotten a good mix of sight-seeing and relaxing. AHH...the perfect vacation. :) Here are some more of our highlights...

The Peak View
We went up to "The Peak" to see the real Hong Kong view!

All the Chinese people do the peace sign when they take their pictures...When in Rome, I guess?!

The Heritage Museum
In all, we didn't love this museum. :( It would have probably been great if we knew something about the culture, but as it was, we just looked at pictures of a bunch of people and history we knew nothing about. Oh well...we got some fun pictures out of it!

Lamma Island
There are a TON of surrounding islands around Hong Kong, and one of them is Lamma Island. It's kind of a hippie island, so that was fun!

We enjoyed our share of ice cream while we explored. :)

There was a BEAUTIFUL beach where we spent most our time...it was quite relaxing!

The harbor was filled with rustic boats that made it so picturesque.

A fishing boat that pulled up while we were waiting for the ferry to take us back.

Ocean Park
We realized that we hadn't ever been to a theme park with just the two of us, and it was ABOUT TIME that we did. Chris moved further away from his fear of heights by riding on a Ferris Wheel AND another cable car! Very impressive... :)

Surprisingly, our favorite part of the park was the animal exhibits! This was the "Sea Jelly Spectacular". It was REALLY COOL!

They had a big tank filled with HUGE fish, sharks, and sting rays. Chris was like a 4th grader...he didn't want to leave.

We went to an ice skating performance that was really cool. It was actually like an ice skating show, magic show, and the Blue Man Group all put together. Pretty fun...

I think this was both of our first times seeing a live Panda Bear...it seems like that can't be possible, but neither of us could remember ever seeing a Panda! Have I seen a panda with any of you out there?

It was a beautiful day with beautiful views.

The 2nd cable car experience...

In all, we're loving our time here. :) Pretty soon we're back to India and work...we're starting to miss everyone and being in a "home" environment, and it definitely feels good to be excited to go back! Later... :)

Well I've never seen a panda bear and since we basically live the exact same life 6 years apart, then you must have never either! :)

Wow, it looks like you are having a blast & that Hong Kong is a pretty cool place. Chris, it looks like in one of the pictures you are on the top of a very high building. Is that correct? If so, nice work. Glad you are having fun!
