Eat, Pray, Love
by Elizabeth Gilbert
by Elizabeth Gilbert

I had started this book a while ago and just couldn't get into it...but I picked it up again, and just kept going. In the end, I really liked it! It's about a 35-year-old woman who's healing from a divorce and decides to take a year to heal by traveling. The year ends up being divided into three sections: Eating in Italy, Praying in India, and Loving in Indonesia. While it's pretty self-focused, I found it really interesting from a cultural standpoint. She has a unique ability to identify cultural differences and describe the various people she meets. I wasn't personally enriched from this book, but it was a fun read and made me want to visit Indonesia and eat gelato in Italy again!
